The Origin
Why I Started Painting
Painting started as a way to slow things down.
Working in healthcare, everything moves fast, with constant decisions, outcomes, and problem-solving. Art became the opposite of that. A place where time stretches, where there's no urgency, and where something real can take shape without pressure.
What began as a reset turned into something more. Each piece now carries that same intention, to bring a sense of calm, depth, and presence into the spaces people live and work in.
The Process
How the work is made
I begin every piece with acrylic on canvas, layering, pushing, and building it up until the structure reveals itself. Some works bring in mixed media, fabric, or metallic elements where the piece demands it.
I organize the work into series, each exploring a different relationship between structure and movement. In the Divide Series I work with contrast and separation. In the Flow Series I build around organic movement. In the Spark Series I chase ignition, charge, and elemental energy at the moment of transformation. In the Infinity Series I follow energy with no beginning and no end.
Each piece includes a signed certificate of authenticity. Framing recommendations are provided with every purchase.
