When current meets resistance, I let the divide write itself. This is the record of that moment.

I collided blue, gray, and black masses along a strong diagonal, splitting the white ground with kinetic force. My pour technique produces sharp edges where the pigments resist blending, creating a visible tension line through the composition. Silver tones catch light along the seam. The energy is directional and decisive. This is a painting that moved fast and held its shape.

Current Divide (diptych) in Mathew Martinovich's home

It went into my game room on the wall over the couch. I chose this piece as it spoke to me like it’s my life story. Torn apart on the outside but finding that inner peace.
