I let the light gather instead of arrive all at once. It builds, and then it stays.
In Gathering Light I used layered transparent washes to build luminosity from the canvas ground up. I concentrated warm yellows and soft whites toward the center while cooler tones recede to the edges, creating a slow radiance that feels lit from within. I kept the paint fluid and unhurried, each layer visible through the next.
