I set stillness against structure. A controlled split that holds more tension than noise ever could.
In Quiet Divide I layered acrylic over embedded fabric strips to create a central fissure that feels geological. I worked the mixed media surface to shift between smooth washes and rough textile grain, giving the split real physical depth. Muted earth tones anchor the composition while I let a single warm accent bleed across the divide, connecting what the line separates.
